WiLAT-SA National Conference 2026
The WiLAT-SA Pre-Conference Webinar provided valuable insights into the important role of women, education, transport, logistics, and economic inclusion in shaping South Africa’s future.
The discussions highlighted that Early Childhood Development (ECD) is the foundation of who we become in the future. Investing in children today means building the skills, capabilities, and workforce that will drive tomorrow’s economy.
Key Highlights from Dr Masabata Ranko-Ramaili
Head: Research & Development Portfolio – WiLAT-SA
Dr Ranko-Ramaili emphasised that ECD is not only about early learning, but about laying the foundation for future talent development.
She highlighted that:
- Transport is about moving opportunities — it connects people, communities, businesses, education, and economic participation.
- Women are central to South Africa’s development, and empowering women creates stronger communities and a more inclusive economy.
- Economic inclusion ensures that everyone has access to opportunities, allowing people to participate meaningfully in society and the economy.
The WiLAT-SA National Conference 2026 aims to bring together key stakeholders across industries to strengthen collaboration around ECD, education, transport, logistics, and economic mobility.
